California voters will decide this November whether or not to fund climate programs in communities most susceptible to climate change. The measure comes with a high price tag, but some North State organizations say it’s worth it.

In California, it’s the state’s responsibility to protect people’s right to vote no matter the language they speak. To do that, the state provides voter assistance in ten languages and several counties offer help in additional languages.

Gavin Newsom is on the ballot, facing opponents including state Sen. Brian Dahle, and triple-digit temperatures are expected in the Sacramento Valley this week.

Voters are showing up to drop off their ballots in the 2021 gubernatorial recall election. Polls will remain open until 8 p.m.
