The Great Thanksgiving Listen

Let's make history this Thanksgiving weekend! All you have to do is ask questions, listen to answers, and record on your smartphone. Storycorps and NSPR want to hear from you as you interview elders in your family. 

Open to everyone, The Great Thanksgiving Listen is a national assignment to engage people of all ages in the act of listening. StoryCorps, the pioneering oral history project, is working with high school teachers across the country to ask students to interview a grandparent or elder over Thanksgiving 2016 using the new free StoryCorps mobile app.

Anyone can participate! All that is needed is a smartphone and the free StoryCorps mobile app. Participants will upload their recordings to the StoryCorps archive at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
