The public is invited to AAUW:Oroville’s annual Women’s History Month Tea/Luncheon and Fundraiser for Tech Trek –a Math and Science camp for Middle School girls, at UC-Davis.
The speaker will be Kristen Del Real, Science teacher at Chico Junior High School, who contributed to the recent book “Miseducation: How Climate Change is taught” by investigative reporter, Katie Worth. Kristen’s talk is entitled: Climate Change: Understanding the basics, finding solutions, and the challenges of teaching climate science in today’s world. Kristen was recently highlighted on NSPR’s Blue Dot Report. The luncheon includes salads, scones, and dessert, and, of course, tea! We will also have a fun raffle to support our Tech Trek girls.
