The Paradise Post is consolidating editorial operations into the Chico Enterprise-Record. Managing Editor Rick Silva made the announcement in a note to readers Tuesday.
The paper is owned by Denver-based Digital First Media, publisher of more than 60 daily newspapers around the country.
The Post will continue operating, but reporting staff will now be based in Chico. Digital First operates a number of other local papers, including the Red Bluff Daily News, Oroville Mercury Register and Woodland Daily Democrat. Silva said the move will allow more efficiency. The Post’s building has been for sale for more than a year.
