Voter education workshops in several languages to be held this week in Oroville

The elections office in Butte County is trying to help voters navigate the upcoming primary elections.
Registrar of Voters Keaton Denlay announced his office is holding several “Voter Education Workshops” this week in Oroville.
The June 2 elections are somewhat tricky because voters in the county will receive two ballot packets in the mail. One for the statewide primary election and another for the special election to finish the term of the late Congressman Doug LaMalfa.
A workshop will be held at 10 a.m. April 10 at the training room in the Hall of Records, 155 Nelson Ave.
Here’s the full workshop schedule:
April 9
- Chinese language accessibility workshop, 10-11 a.m.
- Korean language accessibility workshop, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Spanish language accessibility workshop, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
April 10
- Voter accessibility workshop, 10-11 a.m.
- Lu Mien language accessibility workshop, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Hmong language accessibility workshop, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
