Chico police detained two women Thursday afternoon in connection with the robbery of a downtown jewelry store.
Arrested were 29-year-old Summer Dorman and 19-year-old Erin Beane. According to police, two women fled Kirk’s Jewelry with an undisclosed number of items in a white Subaru or similar vehicle around 1:30 p.m.
The two were stopped with property allegedly taken during the robbery in a vehicle matching the description along StateRroute 99 south of the 149 split. Dorman and Beane were transported to the Butte County Jail.
