Glenn County Moves To Less Restrictive COVID-19 Tier

County of Glenn

Glenn County is moving to the less restrictive Red Tier under the state’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Mark Ghaly, the state’s Health and Human Services secretary, on Tuesday said he’s worked closely with Glenn and other counties to increase testing and reduce the spread of the virus.

“As we’ve talked to you about the slow and stringent approach of our blueprint, that counties are moving through, are beginning to see some increased openings of various sectors and increasing the occupancy of those sectors that have been opened for quite some time,” he said.

The Red Tier for “substantial” virus transmission means some non-essential indoor business operations are closed.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said the state is seeing modest increases in its case numbers and hospitalizations. He urged residents to take precautions as the holiday season approaches.
