Legacy Stage: Fringe Festival

    The second annual Fringe Festival returns to Chico this Labor Day weekend with the theme “Make Space.” The event will showcase more than 50 original performances across multiple stages, creating an environment for innovative voices, fresh narratives and authentic expression.

    To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the iconic film noir “Sunset Boulevard” is returning to the big screen in a new restoration. This darkly comedic masterpiece tells a timeless story of the desperate pursuit of fame, featuring a magnificent performance by Gloria Swanson as a faded silent-screen star.

    Get ready for the high-energy sound of Smokey The Groove, California’s rage-a-delic funk phenomenon, as they return to the stage. Also on the bill is Simian Alien with its gripping rock & roll sound.

      You’re invited to step into the chilling world of Edgar Allan Poe as four of his most famous tales are retold and reimagined by expert historians of Poe. Mixologists will transform each story into a unique four-part craft cocktail experience, all within the eerie confines of a dark and eerie speakeasy.

      End of Summer: Junk Journal Club

      Junk Journal Club returns. It’s a place to craft and make new friends. A $5 donation is recommended for nonmembers of the Chico Women’s Club, but no one will be turned away. Scissors, glue, tape, stickers, scrapbook paper and magazines will be proved. However, it’s recommended you bring your own supplies in case they run out.
