Bob's Comedy!

Bob's Comedy returns to Argus with a new lineup! Headlining the show is the hilarious Jeremiah Coughlan from Portland, with Tyler Cantu from Penn Valley as the featured act.

Opening the show are local talents Alex Garcia and Joe Reynolds. Kicking off the night, performing stand-up for the very first time is David Ledford.

FILM + THEATER

Drag Heat

The Drag Heat competition returns to the stage, inviting drag kings, queens and audience members to witness talent perform for a panel of judges in Chico. Miss Ruby and Atalanta will host the night. They promise a night of laughs, mischief and fun.

Inherent Vice

Paul Thomas Anderson's "Inherent Vice" is a dark-comic adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s novel, starring Joaquin Phoenix. Set in the late 1960s amidst psychedelic paranoia, the film follows a private eye whose ex-girlfriend reappears, claiming a plot to kidnap her billionaire boyfriend by his wife and her lover.

The film features an all-star cast that includes Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon and Benicio del Toro.

It's been nearly a decade since Max Minardi released his last album, and this latest offering, “Anywhere,” has been highly anticipated. For the past eight months, he's been in the studio with an exceptional ensemble of musicians, meticulously crafting these tracks.

Arielle Silver

California singer-songwriter Arielle Silver is a storyteller whose songs are rich with imagery and insight, drawing inspiration from Laurel Canyon and Greenwich Village. Her songs evoke memories of places and times, influenced by the folk, country and rock troubadour traditions her architect father played on his guitar.

The Charities + Mae Powell

Based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., The Charities are a band known for their energetic live performances and dedication to studio recording. Their sound is a dynamic blend of funk and soul, with influences spanning Motown, jazz, disco, R&B and rock and roll. Also on the bill is Mae Powell, a Bay Area-based singer-songwriter with a timeless old-school pop sound. She just released her sophomore album, "Making Room For the Light."

Alma Festival Entertainment is bringing the 6th Annual California Taco Fest & Car Show to the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds. Attendees can enjoy a vibrant celebration of tacos, culture and classic cars. There will be live musical performances, delicious food and an impressive array of vehicles, including lowriders, rods, electric cars and motorcycles.
