Sarah Downs

Sarah has many years of experience working as a studio board op and tech administrator and will use her expertise and skills to keep the NSPR studios in tip- top shape. As the Operations Manager, Sarah will be responsible for automation, network programming integration, fund drive operations, as well as standardizing equipment and operations between Chico and Sacramento.

This is Sarah’s second stint with NSPR. Between 2008 and 2017, she was a board operator and host of All Things Considered and Weekend Edition. She engineered live programs and participated in all aspects of our fund drives, as well as hosting The Downbeat on Saturday nights.

Sarah describes herself as the quintessential cat lady and loves rescuing senior cats from the shelter. She currently has three cats of her own and takes care of a colony of feral cats in Chico.
