Author Raymond H. McDonald sits with Nancy's Bookshelf to speak about his tribute to his lifelong friend, Merle Haggard.

Friends for many years, McDonald spent time at Merle’s ranch in Palo Cedro, near Redding.

His book, "Merle Haggard Was a Friend of Mine," chronicles the life of a humble man from humble beginnings in California.
