A strain of influenza appears to have disappeared from the planet since COVID. As a result, U.S. flu vaccines have been redesigned.

The CDC added the COVID vaccine to its childhood immunization schedule, which eventually could change California’s student vaccination requirements.

The CDC said half of Californians live in high-risk counties. But the agency apparently relied on outdated numbers of COVID infections and patients. Newer data indicates only 19 counties are in the CDC’s riskiest category.

Group attempting to recall Chico Mayor Andrew Coolidge says it has submitted enough signatures to proceed. Also, Tim Garman is likely to be sworn in as Shasta County’s new District 2 supervisor in March, and California’s indoor masking requirement will remain in schools for at least another two weeks.
