Morning Edition AnchorSarina recently graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in media arts, society and technology. She started writing for her school newspaper during her senior year of high school and has since dedicated her life to news. She was the editor-in-chief of her community college newspaper, then was a features reporter for Cal Poly’s paper, Mustang News. At Cal Poly, she fell in love with broadcasting and joined the radio station KCPR as a news reporter and anchor. During her senior year of college, she worked part-time as a reporter for San Luis Obispo’s local NPR affiliate, KCBX. She loves public radio, trivia, baking, movies, and arts and crafts.

More details were released about the investigation into the fire that destroyed Bidwell Mansion. Another hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. Also,the Butte County Sheriff’s Office recovered and identified the body of the second teen who went missing while hunting in Thermalito Afterbay last month, and overnight road closures began yesterday on parts of East 20th Street in Chico.
