Right Of Entry Forms For North Complex Fire Cleanup Due Tuesday

The clean-up of properties burned in the North Complex Fire is underway and going as planned according to Anna Loughman, debris removal coordinator for Butte County.

“We started on November 27th which was a few days early; we weren’t expecting them to begin until December 1st so that was a nice surprise,” Loughman said. “We actually started cleaning nine properties of debris and seven of them have been completed.” However, there is a problem beyond Loughman’s control. Many residents have not yet filed right-of-entry forms and the deadline is looming.

“We have a deadline coming up on December 15th so there is an urgent request from us to ask property owners to get that information to us,” Loughman said.

Loughman says this is especially important because it’s required that all properties be cleared.  If owners don’t get their forms in on time, they’ll miss out on the free government program and will need to assume the clean-up costs themselves.
