The new documentary, “It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley,” is directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Amy Berg. The film tells the story of the enigmatic musician Jeff Buckley, whose sudden death at the age of 30, shortly after the release of his debut album “Grace,” shocked the music world.
The film provides a deep exploration of Buckley’s life and legacy. The doc features unseen footage and intimate accounts from his mother, former partners, bandmates and musicians, such as Ben Harper and Aimee Mann.

A night of pure alt-rock tunes with the best Nor Cal has to offer.
Newcomers to the Chico music scene, Sarah Good will lead the night at the gallery and perform their new single, "Care."
Next on the lineup is the Bay Area's Colonel Macabre, who describe themselves as “anti-genre.”
The lineup also includes Reverse Cambered and the folk-emo sounds of Chico's Memories of Sunlight.

Sky’s Out Thighs Out is a five-man band fighting the Chico heat by performing in mid-thigh length shorts. From Glenn Campbell to Sheryl Crow, join them as they make their way through a sunny catalog. The current group includes Max Minardi, Ben Ruttenburg, Gavin Fitzgerald, Rob Delgardo, and Webster Moore.

Gear up to groove with STRFKR, the electronic indie pop band from Portland. With close to two decades delivering pop-electronic tunes to get you on the dance floor, the group is touring their 2024 release, seventh studio album, "Parallel Realms."

It’s peach season! Chico State University’s Farm is offering the community a chance to pick Fay Elberta peaches. It’s first-come, first-served. Cash and credit cards accepted. Parking is free. No pets. Use provided bags and boxes. No personal containers. Peaches are $3 per pound.

2025 Lake Almanor Grebe Festival

The annual Grebe Festival is taking place this weekend. Grebes are those birds with the colorful feathers and gracefully long necks you see on freshwater lakes all over the West Coast. There will be bird walks, kayak and pontoon boat tours, silent auctions and activities for the kids. The Plumas Audubon Society puts on the event. Proceeds help preserve the habitat these birds need to survive.
