The acclaimed Iranian film, "It Was Just an Accident," screens this weekend in Chico. The plot follows an automotive repairman who abducts a man he believes is the intelligence agent responsible for his past torture, leading to a tumultuous, vengeance-fueled sequence of events. Hailed as a 2025 film standout, won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and is France's submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.

The NorCal Rollergirls will battle in their last home match of the current season, facing off against the Shasta Roller Derby team. All the skating excitement will be at Cal Skate in Chico.
