Over 100 protesters gathered near the Chico mall in alignment with widespread May Day demonstrations.
The May 1 demonstration along Forest Avenue and East 20th Street was part of demonstrations nationwide and across the North State.
Organizing groups called on people to boycott big retail stores and skip work and school.
Protesters held signs advocating for workers and the dismantling of billionaire power. They also expressed their displeasure with the war in Iran and President Donald Trump’s policies on immigration and healthcare.
