Nancy's Bookshelf: Butte College history instructor writes about mental illness and Civil War soldiers

Dillon Carroll is an Instructor at Butte Community College. He holds a doctorate in history from the University of Georgia.

His book, Invisible Wounds: Mental Illness and Civil War Soldiers (Conflicting Worlds: New Dimensions of the American Civil War) examines the effects of military service, particularly combat, on the psyches and emotional well-being of Civil War soldiers.
