Nancy's Bookshelf: Award-winning authors tackle college courses in literature and writing

Pamela Gullard and Kimberly Carlson Aesara, are celebrating the release of their latest works, both of which draw inspiration from the Pacific Northwest.

Pamela Gullard, who teaches at Menlo College, features short stories set in her home state of Washington in her collection, Lake Crescent and Other Spirits.

Similarly, Kimberly Carlson Aesara, an instructor at Shasta College in Redding, sets the stories in her book, Unwrapping Christmas, in Washington and presents them from different points of view.

Nancy Wiegman has a master's degree in French linguistics from Indiana University and taught yoga and foreign languages at CSU Fresno and the College of Charleston before moving to Chico in 1990.
