Chico-based writer Gary Carter, a retired US Navy Captain, shares engaging stories chronicling his experiences as an aviator, first flying from the decks of aircraft carriers and later navigating the skies as a pilot for Delta Airlines.

His latest work is titled "Checklist Complete: Story from my life in aviation."

Nancy Wiegman has a master's degree in French linguistics from Indiana University and taught yoga and foreign languages at CSU Fresno and the College of Charleston before moving to Chico in 1990.
