Golden mussels could clog California’s water system — starting with Lake Oroville

State officials are working urgently to keep invasive golden mussels out of Lake Oroville, a key reservoir in California’s water system. If their microscopic larvae reach the lake, they could clog pipelines and disrupt water delivery to millions downstream.
