Michael Tonetti has been practicing massage and Yoga for more than 50 years. He studied Structural Integration Massage at Heartwood College in 1982, and received Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner certificates. He joins Nancy’s Bookshelf for a conversation about his work, The Tonetti Method: Structural Body Mechanics for Pain Relief, Energy, Strength, and Joint Longevity.
As a massage therapist and structural body mechanics teacher Tonetti has worked with athletes, dancers, yoga practitioners, and senior citizens in addition to people with disabilities, injuries, and chronic pain.
Michael has also taught occupational safety for office and industrial workers. The Tonetti Method developed out of Michael’s search for movement practices to relieve pain and prevent joint dysfunction for himself and others.
