Nancy's Bookshelf: Orland native shares life lessons learned on a dairy farm and in the military

Dave Nordel is a retired United States Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant with over 30 years’ service, he is a registered nurse and served as a medic in areas of operations including Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South America, Iraq, Korea, Japan, and Hungary. He grew up in rural Northern California in a dairy farming community and experienced all that brings to a young man raised in the late 60s and 70s.

He currently lives in Montana and is an outdoorsman, he is a mentor and speaks to young leaders to aid in their development and future successes. He continues to give back the gifts, he has collected along the way.

He chats with Nancy about his book, "Giving back! Life and Leadership from the Farm to the Combat Zone and Beyond: Leaders are appointed and anointed only by their peers and followers."
