Yuba City is home to thousands of uncontrolled feral chickens. They're loved and hated by the community, and experts say they could spread infectious diseases to nearby residents.

Ken came to NSPR through the back door as a volunteer, doing all the things that volunteers do. Almost nothing – nothing -- in his previous work experience suggests that he would ever be on public radio.
Sarina recently graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in media arts, society and technology. She started writing for her school newspaper during her senior year of high school and has since dedicated her life to news.

Alec Stutson grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in Radio Journalism, 20th/21st Century Literature, and a minor in Film Studies. He is a huge podcast junkie, as well as a movie nerd and musician.
Anthony started his student internship with NSPR in October 2024. He is a freshman at Chico State University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in journalism.
